The air was warm, the beams of sunlight shined on my skin, and the sweet laughter of my daughter came as she ran about. I could hear the bark of the neighborââ¬â¢s dog in the distance, the scraping sound of a joggers sneakers on the gravel sidewalk and I could smell the sweet aroma of the ripening peaches coming from the tree in our backyard. It was a brilliant summer day just like any other. My husband, Matthew, pulled in. Our daughter ran to him as he walked up the drive, ââ¬Å"Daddy, Daddy,â⬠she shouted as she wrapped her arms around him, embracing him with love. My husband sat beside me and began to speak. HNG group might face challenges and compatibility issues while implementing ERP. The implementation of ERP can lead to cost overheads. It is essential during the phase of planning. The steps of execution have to be structured so that the requirements are worked out in a proper manner. Otherwise issues will arise in implementing the ERP system. There must a complete breakdown of the requirements. The ERP module at HNG group will not be successful without the adequate investment in the infrastructure. The modules of ERP application must be sound and it should possess good speed of processing. Otherwise there will be a reduction in the functional performance of the ERP system and it will give rise to software issues. The implementation of ERP may lead to hardware and software issues. There are certain generic challenges which cannot be avoided while implementing ERP. The incompatibility of the ERP system with the SCM will reduce the efficiency of order procurement and delivery of HNG group. The database maintenance of the organization will reduce (Sheu, Chae and Yang, 2004). Challenges in CRM implementation HNG group may face critical issues while implementing CRM in the organization. The main agenda of CRM is to make the customers satisfied with the performance of the organization. But there are several challenges faced during the implementation of CRM. Lack of clarity of the organization to meet the objectives will result of strategies of customer relationship management that will be ineffective. This will reduce the performance of the organization. There must be predefined metrics for maintenance of relationship with the customers. Failure to comply with the metrics will hamper the effectiveness of CRM. There must be a core team of CRM to make it successful. One of the major challenges faced by the organization is that they lack a core team of CRM. The team must be effective in providing solutions to the customers. HNG group requires a team that will be efficient in order procurement, processing of order and delivery of the musical instrument. The failure of the team will result in failure of the CRM. The organization faces challenges in aligning the culture of the organization with the demand of the customers. The organization has to constantly update them in order to meet the demand of the customers. It is challenging for the organization to keep them upgraded. The core team must be constantly reviewing the anomalies in the maintenance of effective relationship with the customers. The CRM system requires immediate correction in order to make it effective. It is challenging for the organization to constantly upgrade itself (Ahearne et al., 2012). Conclusion and Recommendations HNG group has to bring certain strategic changes in the organization in order to survive in the competitive business. The expansion plan of the business will be not successful if it is not able to make certain mandatory changes in the system of the organization. The organization plans to enlarge its business process by entering into agreement of music instrument companies in Europe. Since it is engaged in the business of delivery and providing service to the customers, it is imperative for HNG group to have an effective system of supply chain for procurement of order, order processing and delivering the musical instruments with the stipulated time frame. With the expansion the number of customers of the organization will increase. The company has enhanced the information technology of the organization. This can be achieved by the implementation of the ERP system. The ERP modules will integrate the various process of the organization. The modules of ERP must be compatible with the bus iness process. The various functional departments of the business will be integrated by the implementation of the ERP system. But the implementation of the ERP system in the organization is a costly affair. The organization has to make lump sum investment to make the venture successful. On the other hand the business of HNG group will be successful by effective customer relationship management. The sales of the organization will increase. The CRM system of the organization will be successful by effective performance of the core team of the organization. The core team of the organization has to manage the employees in an effective manner. They have to identify the need of the customers and at the same time they have to address to the queries of the customers in an effective manner. This will make the customers satisfied with the relationship management process of the organization. The organization will be able to meet its objectives. The performance of the organization will improve. The organization will be able to manage the change in the business process in an effective manner. The CRM module along with the ERP module will be a successful investment of HNG group. Reflection While writing the report I realized the importance of supply chain management for increasing the effectiveness of performance of the organization. The expansion plan of HNG group will be successful with the implementation of effective supply chain management system. I came to know that it is imperative for HNG group to maintain a database of the customers in order to improve their CRM strategies. I discovered that the supply chain management will be successful if it is backed by advanced information technology. Thus in this context I realized that the implementation of the ERP module will be necessary. The ERP system will keep a database of the customers. I came to know that the ERP module will help to track the orders. The procurement of the order can be made in a successful way by implementing ERP. I have known from my research for the report that the ERP module will simplify the business process in the organization. It came to my realization that even a small business cannot succe ed with effective customer relationship management. It is important to improve the performance of the organization. I have come to know that the business of HNG group will succeed only if it is able to implement CRM and ERP in the organization in an effective manner. Earlier I had realized that the open source support system is not available to small organization.
